Children's Services Department
Requires a:
Co-ordinator of child care operations
(1 Year Full-Time Contract Position - 35 Hours/Week)
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the District Program Manager for Children’s Services responsible for overseeing and co-coordinating the service plans, delivery and effective operation of the DSSAB’s directly operated child care programs.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a University Degree or Community College diploma in the field of Early Childhood Education (with current membership of the College of ECE).
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity or 5 years experience in a related child care field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills in emotional intelligence and coaching.
- Strong leadership and independent decisions making skills.
- Strong computer literacy skills in a Windows environment and ability to work with new computer technology.
- Current First Aid/CPR Certificate
- Access to the use of a vehicle while on field assignment.
